Problem with my local is that it is just over the toad and I know so many people who go in at lunch time. Not sure that sounds right😁 I very rarely in but in the unlikely event of a good summer it has a beautiful garden with lots of nooks and crannies. So diet coke here income xxx

Yeah, I can see this would be tricky, I'm not sure WFP would work if it's your local as you'd end up chatting with everyone! 😂

I think it helps productivity to feel slightly uncomfortable and unfamiliar with the venue too, it helps focus I reckon. 🤓

I love your criteria.

I don’t co work with strangers. Chewing noises will send me packing.

Instead of price checking I would be chair testing. The pub, or coffee house for US readers, must be chair worthy.

Absolutely 'comfort' is one of the criteria, by which it can mean chair/table height combo suitable for laptop, which isn't always a given. 🤓

Funnily enough, I was thinking of putting together a Questionnaire I could vet new members with, it would be awful to welcome them in and then find out they are an incessant chit-chatter, or as you say, accompanied by a bag of toffee or similar. 😂 😂

I love writing (or co-working) in coffee shops. I don't like co-working spaces.

Exactly!

A pub has all the warmth of a cafe without the pressure to order something every hour! 😉

You should try it! 👏

If I wasn't retired and still drank (my body just can't do alcohol anymore -- no moral issues), I absolutely would!

We only drink softies when working, otherwise I wouldn't get anything done! 🤓

My friend often has a Latté, which gives me 'cute biscuit envy', I soooo wish I liked coffee. #fomo

By extraordinary coincidence, the price of a pub Diet Coke features in the podcast this week!

That’s true, it tastes the best out of a glass bottle, but I can imagine the logistical nightmare of putting them in vending machines. 😂😂😂
