🤣🤣🤣 Best Fish & Chips Guide to the UK 🇬🇧 complete with salt 🧂 and vinegar 🫗!!!! The rules were lost on me after reading that doozy!!!
Wow! I didn’t know camel 🐪 chocolate 🍫 is a thing!!! What does it taste like??? How is their milk 🥛???
I do indeed practice the art of Secret Santa - either with my church group or work colleagues. Currently with one of the Next stores - we’re quite boring and choose the names out of the hat. I cannot remember receiving a bad Secret Santa gift at all. From what I remember, I’ve received a bottle of pink nail polish, nail clippers and a Baylis & Harding pamper set. Can’t complain! x
Victoria---I've had camel burgers and camel stew but never chocolate. I'm sure it exists---probably in Dubai where a friend recently Insta-bragged about her daily camel lattes. https://sprudge.com/dubai-camel-milk-cappuccinos-a-favorable-alternative-to-cow-42941.html Kate, I had a big laugh over the hand-crafted horror-show of a souvenir from Malawi. Have a gay ol' time at your Secret Santa event.
On theme: We have a Little Free Library in our rural neighbourhood. As a lark, Kim and I put an unwanted (gifted) snowman in the library knowing somebody would kindly adopt it. My god, it turned into a true secret Santa (or secret snowman, I guess) and neighbours kept what was never an 'exchange' alive with a rotation of more ornaments and jolly items. And then, the snowman came back! He was eventually removed near the end of January but I sense he will return. It turned into quite a caper even though we were just being minimalists and regifting Christmas crap!
Do you practice the ancient art of Secret Santa, if so, who with? Yes, with co-workers. This version sounds like the White Elephant (which I've also done with co-workers in lieu of Secret Santa) and the rules are that you can only steal a gift three times before it's out of play. LOL
What’s the worst and/or best gift you’ve ever received at a Secret Santa? Worst - hot sauce (I only do spicy reads, not food) and I don't remember the best one because it always got stolen. LOL
It's takes about 90 minutes. One extra fun thing is that there used to be an "ugly" gift. For years it was a hand carved bird (poorly carved). One year my friend sent his wife (he was sick) to make sure he got it out of the house. Sometimes people want to take it so they have to return it next year.

Not bad at all, it is easier buying the SS if your demographic is very similar. 👏

The camel chocolate did indeed originate from Dubai, well guessed! 👏
We've added a 'must buy from a charity shop' rule this year.... will let you know how that goes....
That’s sounds like a great theme, love it! 👏

Well played! I love a bit of stealth decorating! 👏

We play this with about 30 people, so have to limit the number of steals, but for a small group it works.
Wow for 30 people it must be quite a production! 👏
This sounds like a lot of fun, if not a little confusing to start with. 🤣
You get used to it quick enough, give it a try, it’s so much fun! 👏
